God Says Follow Laws

What is the difference in God's laws and man's law?  Most man-made laws are written to protect people from evil doers, therefore  reflect respect of others as seen in the ten commandments.  So why do some people protest laws or openly defy them?  If they are doing it peacefully; perhaps the law has been distorted, not fairly being carried out, or done to benefit politicis not people?  A Christian (such as MLK's and CJK's examples) might protest or speak-out because of the unfairness.  However, if "protest" is being done violently, then it cannot be for a Godly purpose.  Violence is used to overthrow governments, cover-up corruption, or just for the sake of committing crimes hoping that true objectives are not noticed.

Remind the people to be subject to rulers
and authorities,
to be obedient,
to be ready to do whatever is good,
 to slander no one,
 to be peaceable and considerate,
and always to be gentle toward everyone.
- Titus 3:1-2 (NIV)

What can evil people hope to accomplish by not following laws?  Although most laws are written to protect the innocent; sometimes they are purposely misquoted, misinterpreted, mistated or mistakenly include loopholes to benefit the quilty.   However, that does not mean the laws were bad, only that bad actors are purposly taking advantage of people not bothering to read or know the complete law or the historical reason behind it.  This false representation is often overturned in higher levels of court because it was obvious the law was twisted to pervert justice.  Then the one committing the actual crime is forced to pay and justice is considered accomplished.

When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous
but terror to evildoers. - Proverbs 21:15 (NIV)

Unfortunately, those lawyers and judges who aided or championed the falsehoods are too often not punished for their part in the criminal cover-up.  If they do contineu to do it, they may eventually lose their positions as a simple solution for politicians.  However, someday they will be held accountable as accessories to future crimes commited.  If not in an earthly court, definitely when facing God the eternal judge if they do not repent and change.

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point
is guilty of breaking all of it. – James 2:10 (NIV)

God encourages His people to follow the laws of the land (legally created laws).  If illegal or unfair laws were created (at lower levels to conflict with national legistation or by judges who do not have ability to write laws) that are different from His commandments, then His people are to work to change those laws, but not commit crimes themselves as a way of doing so.  Before any church openly encourges defiance of any law, the pastor and congregation must read God's word and pray for guidance.  A single man should not make that decision that is contrary to God.

Point the finger of shame, and three point back

Too many times recently, we find our so called leaders taking the smallest incident and trying to make it sound like a big deal.  They seem intent on pointing the finger of blame at someone who is trying to do good because they themselves are not working for the good of all.  Why is it bad, corrupt, or self-absorbed  people want to "make an example" of good people who are just trying to help others?  It is as if they never heard of the Native American proverb "The one who points his fingers has three pointing back at him."  Their screaming "Look, look" only results in others looking at what they have done and often their shameful acts are worse than what they are accusing another of.

Please, Lord, rescue me! Come quickly, Lord, and help me.
May those who try to destroy me be humiliated and put to shame.
May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace.
Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!”
But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you.
May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “The Lord is great!”
- Psalm 40:13-16 (NLT)

Jesus and His disciples had the same problem with false leaders in their day too.  The so-called leaders played politics with the lives of others by triying to shut them up.  They threatened, jailed, and did worse to try to prove they were in-the-right and Christians were wrong.  The more those leaders tried to shame the Christians; the more of God's plan was fulfilled and the more people who defiantly became Christians.  God always wins, so shouting leaders need to beware or they may quickly reveal their own guilt.

For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open,
and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.
So pay attention to how you hear.
To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given.
But for those who are not listening,
even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.
- Luke 8:17-18 (NLT)

Make the Choice to Choose Life!

With the overturning of Roe vs. Wade and the the decisions about abortion law returning to states, there will be new Pro-life battles closer to home now.  Christians must stand on the right side of this life and death issue and continue to work against the sacrifice of babies to Satan's desires.  For a moment, breath and know that the angels and the unborn children are singing with joy that they have been saved. Then get ready to continue working against wickedness and immorality.

Today I am giving you a choice of two ways. And I ask heaven and earth to be witnesses of your choice. You can choose life or death. The first choice will bring a blessing. The other choice will bring a curse. So choose life! Then you and your children will live. - Deuteronomy 30:19 (ERV)

All Lives Matter to Jesus Christ

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. - 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

In a time when many use the words "racism" or "racist" just to push a certain narrative or get their own way, remember the children's song Jesus Loves All the Children of the World.  God is NOT a bigot.  God does not see skin color, ethnicity, or nationality. He sees His creation; He sees His children.  He gave His only son, Jesus as the Christ sacrifice, so that all could be forgiven of their sins and come to Him.  Jesus Christ is waiting patiently for the world to wake up and seek Him.  He has a place in Heaven for everyone willing to accept it.  Although He offers us peace on earth if we trust Him, things of this world do not matter.  It is the ever-after that He promises us.

"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; >
who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all,
to be testified in due time." - 1 Timothy 2:3-6 (KJV)

We are All Brothers and Sisters through Christ's Blood

“Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." - Genesis 1:26

God created man in his image out of his desire for fellowship.  One man (Adam) and one woman (Eve) were the parents of all the  races on mankind. But man separated himself from God when he chose to disobey.  Humans continued to withdraw from God and each other as time went on.

"I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions
and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught;
avoid them." - Romans 16:17 (ESV)

Jesus Christ, the son of God, was sent to shed his blood as a sacrifice for mankind.  Through Him all may be redeemed and adopted into the family of God.  After receiving salvation, each one becomes a new brother or sister with Christ.  Members of God's family are to avoid evil and share His love.

The thief comes only to steal kill and destroy.
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. - John 10:10 (ESV)

Why do we continue to exacerbate human issues?  Psychology Today article, "What's the problem?" makes a suggestion.  However to solve the true problems in this world, we should read the Bible for guidance.

Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.
Whoever loves his brother abides in the light,
and in him there is no cause for stumbling.
But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness,
and does not know where he is going,
because the darkness has blinded his eyes." - 1 John 2:9-11 (ESV)

In the video below, Aveda King shares that we are all part of the human race and have the same red blood.  The key is to remember this and unbiblical-ness of racism shall begin to fall away.  Until then, continue to pray for God's healing and deliverance for His sons and daughters in this world

Why is There so Much Evil in the World?

Romans 12:21 overcome evil with good
When hearing the news about human trafficking, mass shootings, terrorism, genocide, and other horrendous actions, you may wonder "How can God let this happen?" Or you might cry and shout "Why is there so much evil in the world today?"

First, God (who is good) gave man his own free will.  Second, humans choose to do do bad things as they falsely believes sins is more fun that righteousness.  Finally, the devil is the root of ALL evil.  Satan whispers in man;s ear and heart, and fi man does not recognize who he is and what he saying - he obeys the evil one.

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that he might destroy the works of the devil." - 1 John 3:8 (KJV)

How did mankind let the devil in?  Can you blame Hollywood for lustful or violent movies?  Maybe, but remember humans have the choice not to go to those types of movies.  If Hollywood can not make money from that type of movie, then they eventually will stop making them.  Humans can and should exercise their free will as well as their wallets to improve this area by not buying to those movie tickets.

If it can not be blamed on Hollywood, can it be the fault of the video game makers?   Possibly, violent videos have desensitized people to others.  However, the choice not to buy or play them does exist too.  If the gaming industry can not make money from that type of game, they may turn to educational or other types of activities to increase sales.  Again, humans can and should exercise their free will, as well as their wallets to improve this area by not purchasing violent games.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth,
and shall be turned unto fables." - 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)

Could some of man's move to evil be due to removing God and Jesus from public schools?  Could it be the removal of Christian prayer, while allowing or encouraging other religious practices?  Could it be the lack of discipline in public schools? Perhaps these are questions for the humans on school boards and in administrative positions to consider, check history, and then take appropriate action.  If parents feel any of the above is a safety or religious issue, they may become a vocal member of the PTA.  Alternatively, parents may research options for private schools or home schooling for children.

Could more of man's move toward evil be due to the decline in church attendance?  Could it the ignorance of moral standards?  Could it be due to some churches trying to fill their seats by watering down the Bible teaching or choosing to ignore some of God's guidelines and instructions altogether?  Perhaps these are questions for the humans serving as church leaderships and sitting in the pews  administrative positions to not just consider but act upon now.
