Is Christianity the Key Foundation of America?

Is Christianity the foundation of America? The undiluted history of the United States of America says YES! Christian values and morels played a key role in the setting up of the government.

Does God bless or curse nations depending on whether or not their leaders follow God's will and commendaments? The last few decades in America show the Holy Bible is very much proved to be true in its warnings for faithful and rebellious people.

Is Amercia making a turn back to Christian faith and values? It looks very hopeful for USA, revival is spreading! Presently America is doing well in global relations and economy. Also, both the present and future look brighter for the nation's citizens.

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord,

and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,

for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.

- Psalm 22:27-28 (NIV)

During, America Reads the Bible kick-off for Rededicate 250/Freedom 250 celebrating USA 250th, President Donald Trump read 2 Chronicles 7:11-22 (in video at bottom of post). This scripture is God instructing the current nation's leader that its citizens/people must return to following the one true God in order to flourish.

Thanksgiving for Past and Blessing for the Future

With the wonderful things we have seen happen in the past year, we should be especially thankful this year. Even more so than last year after the good election news that reminded us God has not forgotten America. Revival is breaking out in many places, even some surprising ones. Bible sales and church attendance are growing. This year, we can loudly and proudly say the family's traditional Thanksgiving prayer before dinner or we can go directly to quoting or paraphrasing scripture. Let us remember God's grace to us and give thanks for the blessings of the last year but for speak blessings for future years too.

Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory,

because of your love and faithfulness.

[Our God,] He will bless those who fear the Lord— small and great alike.

May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children.

May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth He has given to mankind.

- Psalm115:1 & 13-16 (NIV)

Also, remember to invite someone to church who is not currently going anywhere. Many people will attend a Christmas service if someone would just ask. For someone who does not know Christ or has just become a Christian, consider gifting them a Bible they can read to learn more about His teachings. For other Christians, consider giving them a Bible study or devotional book for their continued spiritual journey.

Starting Daily Bible Reading with Easy Plan Options

Many Christians make New Year's resolutions to read more of the Bible each day. Some even resolve to read the entire Bible in a year! This is not as impossible of a goal as it may seem. All that is required is a simple plan and the dedication to complete it. Most of the plans listed below start with day/week one, which means you can start them at any time during the year. However other plans, and some types of Bible studies or devotionals, may require you read specific passages on certain calendar dates.

An Attitude of Gratitude in Thanksgiving Blessing

Does your family have a specific prayer they pray over the Thanksgiving or holiday meals? Some say the Lord's prayer, others a traditonal blessing, while a few have a favorite family or religious recitation. Many go even further by going around the table and having everyone present take turns saying something they are grateful for in the current year (aka grateful round).

When I was a child, my grandmother prayed over most of our family gatherings. I noticed when she would ask other relatives to pray, they often did a very similar prayer. I guess that came form hearing her so often. Even decades later, when the 4th generation offers up a prayer, although their words may be different, they end theirs much in the same way my grandmother did. I am not so sure the exact praying words are as important as the attitude of gratitude sent towards God.

With all that has happened in the past two years, we should reflect on the many blessings we still have over the holidays. If you do not have a memorized prayer or prefer to do a reading to express your gratitude, you might consider reading or reciting Psalm 100 (inset is ESV). It is only 5 verses long, yet the words truly indicate a grateful heart. This can done instead of a prayer, before the blessing, or following the "grateful round."

Once a Nation Under God

Whoever says Holy Bible scripture is not relevant today might want to try reading the God's Word again. Scriptures give guidance on individual lives, instruct leaders on how to behave towards the people they serve, provides laws and tells judges how to act, advises countries on what is acceptable, and shows how God disciplines those He loves as well as His destroying evil.

"In his name the nations will

put their hope." - Matthew 12:21 (NIV)

Is America forgetting or ignoring its Christian heritage? In God We Trust is the American motto on currency (paper money for decades and on USA coins for centuries). The United States of America has used the line one nation under God in the Pledge of Allegiance for decades. This was done to reinforce the Christian religion of most of the country. It was a way of honoring American history and the right to religious freedom. What does the Bible say about a nation that turns from God? An Old Testament example that may be applied to current events is the prophet Amos warning his nation to turn back to their God.

"I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt:

your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses;

and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils:
yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord." - Amos 4:10 (KJV)

If the scripture was looked at as the USA now, the first line of scripture above would point to COVID and the fear spread about it. The second line could be a reference to the Afghanistan crisis that aided enemies. The the third line should point to the evil being promoted in by current politicians in DC. Finally, the fourth line is very clear - the country needs to turn from sin and return to God.

"Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,

and he delivered them from their distress." - Psalms 107:6 (NIV)

Just as God blessed Israel when they served Him, He has blessed America. When most of Israel turned from God, He mercifully waited for them to return. However, when the sins got too great, then God would have to turn away from them until they realized their need for Him. Scripture can be applied to modern life. With that in mind, what will happen to America if too many of its people continue to: drift from God, break His commandments, and support evil actions? Once a nation under God, America needs to restore their faith and return to their Christian roots. Pray for the USA to follow Christ again and restore the nation it was originally designed to be.

Is It Time for an Attitude Adjustment?

Does it seem like more good things are happening for bad people? Are you really only experiencing the worse in life? Does it seem like evil is winning the day? Why do you feel you are losing out? Do you think you are suffering tight now? Does the problem or appear impossible to you? Does it seem like God has closed His eyes to what is happening?

When I thought to know this,

it was too painful for me;

Until I went into the sanctuary of God;

then understood ..." - Psalms 73:16-17 (KJV)

Recently, my pastor (sermon video) covered parts of Psalms 73 as a necessary attitude adjustment for Christians. Pastor suggested we replace "Israel" in the first verse with our own names to personalize the thoughts and behaviors as we read through the chapter. In the first half of that chapter, we are lamenting how evil people prosper. We may be falling for the the lies and propaganda of the devil. Just as Asaph exaggerated what he saw, we may also wonder about who appears to be in charge of what is going on around us. Are we feeling sorry for ourselves? Are we wondering where the Church fits in the current situation? Just as Asaph did, we must remember who is charge of our life and what we have to look forward to. We must recognize God is in charge and our attitude will change for the better just as it did for Asaph in the 2nd half of the chapter.

"But it is good for me to draw near to God:

I have put my trust in the Lord God,

that I may declare all Thy works.." - Psalms 73:28

Are you falling into the trap of self-pity? Time to change your attitude by remembering who you belong to. Look to God's word for encouragement , pry for guidance, and remember who really is in charge! It is not man or satan. God is on your side! Your all--powerful, everlasting God always wins!

Rise and Fall of False Kings

How do the wrong people get into leadership roles? Where do dictators come from? Does the Bible have any examples of false leaders who should not have been in their role? Yes, there are many examples of both good and bad leaders in the Bible. Below are only five examples from the Old Testament.

Saul was originally the chosen king of Israel (1 Samuel). However, he did not follow God's directions and fell from God's grace to be replaced by David the newly chosen king. David did not want to usurp God's first king, even though David had already been anointed to take Saul's place, because he respected the elder's position. David waits until Saul is no longer king to take his rightful place in leading his country and his people.

“For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name's sake:
because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people." - 1 Samuel 12:22

As David aged, he selected the next king to replace him. However, during his reign he had two people who wanted to be king even though they were not worthy of that leadership role. The first false king was Absalom, a very handsome son of David, who at one time had been expelled from the kingdom because of his wickedness (2 Samuel). When Absalom was finally welcomed back by his father, he began to scheme a takeover of the throne. Absalom was killed in part due to his vanity during his attempt to overthrow the rightful king. Adonijah was the second false king as he to tried to take over the kingdom via a coup too (1 Kings). He had been a selfish son of the reigning king and believed his good looks were all that was required to be the next king. He was unsuccessful at that time and David remained the true king of Israel. Adonijah tried again to be king by aemoting a coup over David's chosen successor later and was killed in that attempt.

"Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart:
for consider how great things he hath done for you.
But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed,
both ye and your king.” 1 Samuel 12:24-25

King David chose his son Solomon to be the next true king. As the chosen king, Solomon ruled wisely and kept a genuine covenant with God for most of his life. Unfortunately, some of the kings that cam after Solomon did not have as close of a relationship with God. As a result, their country and people suffered.

Leaders selected by God will be true to their country and people. Leaders who get their positions by wrongful actions of man or via evil contracts with satan, are false leaders

Spiritual Mountains to Climb

On Sunday, my pastor delivers a wonderful message on "Getting Ready to Climb." You can find the video of his sermon on Facebook and notes on the church website. He focused on decision-making and three spiritual mountains we are to climb for:

US (me) - example in Mark 11:22-24
OTHERS - example in Exodus 31:18
GOD - example in Matthew 17:1-2

The 3 mountains teaching concluded with "It is hard to determine which mountain is which until we begin climbing, however ... Every mountain brings you face-to-face with God."

"The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord,

At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

The heavens declare His righteousness,

And all the peoples see His glory." - Psalm 97:5-6 (KJV)

Afterwards, my spouse and I discussed the various ways that mountains and valleys are used in everyday life as metaphors. Speaking:

Emotionally: feeling happy equates to the high of a mountain top, whereas being sad is compared to the low inside the valley
Mentally - studying hard to learn something is climbing the mountain, being an expert is the mountain top. being a novice is the valley below the mountain, not learning or researching is choosing to stay in the valley of ignorance or doubt
Physically: climbing a mountain compares to working hard towards a goal and the top is success, falling down the mountainside is a setback, the valley can be flourishing and frutifull, or the might be flooded with problems
Spiritually: only praying to God from the valley of need, praising God for blessings from the top of the mountain

God Has a Plan!

"For I know the plans that I have for you,’
declares the Lord, ‘plans for well-being,
and not for calamity, in order to
give you a future and a hope.
When you call out to me and come and pray to me,
I’ll hear you." - Jeremiah 29:10-12 (ISV)

God has a plan. He has a plan for you personally. He has a plan for His Church. He has a plan for government. He has a plan for this nation. He has a plan for the entire world! God is the creator of the universe, so He is in control no matter what you may think or feel is going on. The devil has no chance of overthrowing the Great Creator!

"Trust in the Lord and do good. Dwell in the land and feed on faithfulness.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord; Trust him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as a light,
and your justice as the noonday sun." - Psalms 37:3-6 (ISV)

God has a plan and He expects you to be an active part of it.. Do not sit silently waiting for His will to be done. Have a daily devotional time where you pray for guidance, read the Bible, and then follow through with action as He leads you.

Feeling Alone in Your Prayers to God?

Do you ever feel you are all alone in your prayers to God for healing or blessings for the nation? In this time of isolation, it is easy to forget there are others out there praying the same things you are. You long to join hands and pray together with two or more others, but you seem unable to do so right now. God never leaves us alone, He has not only sent the Holy Spirit to be with you as you pray in Jesus name, He has an army of believers who may be praying at the same tie as you. Just as He told Elijah in 1 Kings 19, he has many believers out there who call upon him, are guided by him, and do not give in to: idols, false governments, or anything evil that is going on in the world.

"I still have left in Israel seven thousand followers who have not bowed
their knees to Baal or kissed the images of him." - I Kings 19:18 (NET)

Do not feel abandoned when you do not immediately see an answer to your prayer. Do not feel like you are alone when praying to God. There is an army of faithful prayer warriors out there praying along with you. Just as Elijah did not recognize the 7,000 of God who also was praying, you may not know. However, you can rest assured there is a remnant of faithful Christians out there praying too.

The Reversal of Good and Evil

In the worldly culture today much of what was considered evil in the past is now seen as insignificant, normal, or even good. One example in vocabulary is the word "wicked" which the dictionary defines as "evil or morally wrong." Now that word is often used by younger people to indicate something is "interesting, wonderful, or fun." Age-old and accepted meanings of words are getting changed so the people of this world become easily confused and manipulated by those words. Evil will hide behind acronyms and slogans that sound good but have a demonic purpose.

All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.

Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
- Proverbs 16:2-3 (KJV)

One group or activity example from current events could be protests, which U.S. constitution allows if assembly and petition is done peacefully. However, protest is occasionally wrongly used as an excuse for breaking the law with violence, looting, injury to others, and destruction of property. Another examples is while the constitution also provides for freedom of religion, Christian churches are required to close and some actions are taken against them if they do not. Hmm, who does that benefit in a time when depression is growing? More and more things are going from bad to worse and being hailed as good to great by those who want to spread toxicity and ill-will. The Bible warned the church this would happen and cautioned Christians against going along with it.

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light,

and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" - Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)

In the past few decades, the church has become open-minded in an attempt to appear more up-to-date or open-hearted. Obvious sins noted in the Bible are allowed to come into the church and more people accept things that would have not been allowed and probably even denounced in the past. The Bible warned this could happen if churches allowed their congregations to continue in sin. New converts are to repent from sin and quit doing it. If immature Christians continue to do the sin and the leader or elders of the church allows it by not talking to the individual, this would result in more sinning within the body of the church. Then the eventual downfall of the church body would occur. Is this happening today? Yes, a few churches seem to be turning their back on Biblical truths and New Testament teachings. Can this be stopped? Yes, it requires revival first ,which comes from prayer and discipline in following Christ and the Bible guidelines for Christian individuals and the church body as a whole. Then we must teach the Bible so everyone can discern good from evil. Compromising Bible teaching for filling seats is dangerous for the Christian Church!

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God,

neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Praise God Anyway

Praise God Anyway is the theme in one of the thirty-eight lessons in Susan Kerr's devotional "Intersections of Grace" (available on Amazon #ad) where she introduces the accronym PGA. Praise God Anyway (PGA!) In her study, she references the confinement verses in Acts listed at the bottom of this post. There are more examples in the Bible, a few are noted below along with relatable questions for yourself.

"Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name." - Psalm 63:3-4 (KJV)

In Habakkuk 3:17-19, he is suffering because his garden and cattle are not producing enough to eat. Even so, the prophet praises God anyway. Could you praise even if you have no food, lost property, unable to achieve goals or other types of profit? Instead, should you consider the home, family, and blessings you do have and be thankful for those?

Job 1:2 shows that even though Job has lost his wealth, family, health and is wrongly accused; he may have become depressed however, he refuses to abandon God and praises Him anyway. If you are going through illness,being lied about, or suffering the loss of a loved one - could you praise God anyway? Can you be grateful for your past and look toward Gods future plans for you?

"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks:

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (KJV)

Psalms 57 was composed by David (the slayer of Goliath and future king) when he was tired, sacred, and living in a cave. However, he praises God anyway. Should you praise God anyway when you are afraid, depressed, or feeling alone? Would things turn around for you if you look at what you have, where you have come from, and what joy could be there for you if you just praise the Lord?

In Acts 16:25-36, Paul and Silas are in chains within a prison for refusing to ignore their calling of God. Even so, they sing praises to God anyway. Would you praise God anyway if you were unjustly confined, lost your job, or your candidate did not win the election. Instead could you consider the freedoms you do have and be grateful for those?

False Prophets Show Up During a Time of Upheaval

Much of the ungodliness warned about in 2 Timothy appears to be coming true today as our country experiences an upheaval of long-held beliefs, morals, and values. Lies and distortions are being spread for political or monetary gain. Fake narratives, lying propaganda, false prophets, and bogus religions are constantly popping up everywhere! History is being rewritten and misrepresented to support the new narratives. Unnecessary destruction and violence spreads fear and sometimes seems to move the deceitful stories along.

Read the above Bible book to get the message to Christians during such times of turmoil or spreading of falsehoods. To help you after reading, write the 3 scriptures below down and post them as reminders for yourself. These should serve as encouragement while you follow the warnings and instructions in the Bible.

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;

but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." - 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,

rightly dividing the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,

for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect,

thoroughly furnished unto all good works." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)

If you follow the word of God and verify what you hear as right or wrong during this time, you will see the evidence of false prophets. Read the Holy scriptures for yourself, pray about what you hear, keep Christ in your life. Then as a Christian, you will be able to say with confidence:

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,

I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7

Freedom of religion is under fire and may remain so for some time. Everyone is being told what is proper to say or not say, which is infringing upon free speech in a country where liberty is a citizen's right. As a Christian, are you finding it hard to know what to believe or do? Read 2 Timothy, a 4-chapter book of the Bible, so you are aware of what you need to look out for and how you are to respond. Do not believe when false prophets twist God's Word for their own purpose. Look up quoted scriptures, put them in context to seek God's true message and you can not be deceived.

Choose a Side - Christ or Criminal?

With all that is going on in America today, you may be confused about which side is the right side. Attacks on Christian churches and symbols of Christianity may have you fearful of being next or angry at not only the culprits but the instigators, non-concerned news media, and slow action of officials as well. You may wonder "how can this happen in a predominantly Christian country? Consider the trials of Christ and Barabbas in Luke 23, one was found innocent and the other guilty. However, due to the influence of a few jealous leaders the crowd was encouraged to cry out against the innocent one and and for the release of the proven murderer and terrorist. Instead of what was right, the government gave into the screaming crowd out of fear. They did not wait to see if things would calm down or use their military or guards to prevent the feared insurrection.

"And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that,

if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee;

take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will,

but what thou wilt." - Mark 14:35-36

In just this part of the story of Jesus, we know who we would choose to release - the innocent Jesus Christ of course. As Christians, we should want to help the innocent. We should be able to trust our church leaders to not be mislead and mistaking be on the side of wrong. To insure we take the side of Christ, we need to pray for proper direction and for the salvation of those who encourage or do wrong in this world. Christians need to stand for their religious rights and against forms of religion hate. We also need to pray for both our church leaders and government leaders to make the correct choices. As Christians, we should be: resisting evil, standing against violence and destruction, upholding justice and the law.

Continuing through Luke 23, we find that Jesus is crucified along with two convicted criminals. One continues to be evil until his earthly death. The other accepts Jesus Christ as innocent of sins and God's Son. Because of this, Jesus forgives him and assure that man will also have a home in Heaven.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:

no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." - John 14:6 (KJV)

As Christians, we know that Christ went to the cross to die for all sin. Although the crowd at trial was in the wrong, the leaders chose unwisely, and the circumstances in that story might have been different, it would not have changed God's plan of salvation. Christ knew what would happen to Him and He was willing to suffer so all that call upon His name could be made clean from sin and be saved, However, it does not mean we stand silent in the face of evil. Instead, we pray for guidance; speak out when necessary; and do God's call to action in His will.

Evil Wants to Overshadow the Truth

"An evil-doer giveth heed to wicked lips;

And a liar giveth ear to a mischievous tongue."

- Proverbs 17:4 (ASV)

Satan is the biggest liar, the evil father of lies, and behind every lie told to and by humans in a n attempt to spread evil even more. Remember that evil can hide behind a good cause. Evil takes advantage of blind followers. The devil seeks to divide people and destroy what they have built. Evil blots out the truth of history. Criminals and deviants reign while honesty and purity are scoffed at. Evil removes your sense of safety. Terror and fear become the legacy of evil. Evil is a hidden terrorist waiting to exploit those who do not seek the truth before they act. Evil can hide behind words, will distort truth, incite anarchy, and always seeks destruction. Evil breeds anger and hate. NO good comes from evil.

But evil men and impostors shall wax worse and worse,

deceiving and being deceived.

But abide thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of,

knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a babe thou hast known

the sacred writings which are able to make thee wise unto salvation

through faith which is in Christ Jesus." - 2 Timothy 3:13-15 (ASV)

Do not let evil in! Before you know it, good intentions and wrong ideas cost you your freedom. Be NOT afraid of words. lies, and twisted versions of what is real. Do not let the loud screams of a few hide the voices of the majority. Fight evil! Stand up to evil! Fight misdeeds and the goals of the devil. Pray that God rains down his righteousness before it is too late. We shall overcome with God's help. Pray and keep praying for a breakthrough.

"Beware of false prophets,
who come to you in sheep’s clothing,

but inwardly are ravening wolves.
By their fruits ye shall know them.

Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit;
but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit."
- Matthew 7:15-17 (ASV)

Two Wrongs Do Not Make a Right

How many of you will agree that satan is evil? The devil is the father of lies. Satan enjoys spreading hate. He jumps for joy when he sees mankind is struggling or in conflict. The devil knows if he can get people to react without thinking or praying, he can then lead them to do wrong. Any wrong can lead to several other wrongs and can pull people further away from God's plan for them.

Can you recognize when satan is the instiagater of a situation? Your mother may have told you "Two wrongs don't make a right." There is Biblical truth in that statement. If you see evil building through revenge or anger, then you know that the devil must have been at the root of it. He continues to fan the flames with lies, hate, and misinformation.

"Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Instead,

always pursue what is good for each other and for everyone else."

- 1 Thessalonians 5:15 (ISV)

So how do you make sure you do not increase the wrong and help satan with his plans? You look for what good can you do for others. You choose not to slander others or help spread lies. You pursue the right attitude to improve the situation while not escalating the problem. If you are not sure what to do, the best thing is to pray for God's guidance. Ask God, not a person as he/she may be easily fooled by satan.

Taking the time to pray and talk with God can heal hearts. Healed hearts can lead to understanding each other better and improving communication with one another. Good intentions of mankind are not enough to improve things. However, God's love and your understanding can change the situation.

Promises of God for His Believers

God offers several promises to those who know Him and call upon His name in the Bible.

In Psalms 91, verse fourteen below God promises His followers that He will deliver and liberate those who follow Him, know Him, and call upon His name. By setting His followers on high, He is guaranteeing His protection, that they will have safety and security through Him.

"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him:

I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble;

I will deliver him, and honour him.

With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation."

- Psalms 91:14-16 (KJV)

Then in verse fifteen above, God promises He will answer the prayers of those that believe in Him. He will not only deliver them, He will equip them and honor their path.

Finally in verse sixteen, God continues with the promises that He will satisfy His people and give them His forgiveness and salvation.

When I read the above scripture, I imagine my grandmother's (Belle) and my mother's names in the place of Timothy's as underlined. The Grandma's Bible series emphasizes marked scriptures from one of Grandma Belle's Bibles. She was a prayer warrior, Sunday School teacher and an excellent example for my family. I pray her scripture selections will speak to you and your family too. There are thought-provoking questions for many chapters in each book after presented scriptures. Where Does Healing Come From?

Healing comes from God through Christ. Christ died on the cross for the salvation of mankind. Sickness comes through the king of lies and sin, satan. Jesus Christ defeated satan when He took sin upon Himself to heal the broken relationship between God and mankind. This spiritual relationship healing is given to any person who repents of their personal sins and accepts Christ into their live. Once forgiveness is requested and Christ is accepted, the sinner is saved. Then the choice to follow Christ needs to be made. Followers/disciples of Christ are known as Christians.

"Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them

and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security." - Jeremiah 33:6 (ESV)

Becoming a Christian is more than just believing that Christ existed, it is a spiritual healing. After spiritual healing, physical and emotional healing can begin. Through prayer, Christians can ask for healing of the body, family, mind, and more. If the request is made with the desire to be within God's will and through faith in Christ, Christians will receive an answer to their prayers.

“Afterwards Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, ‘See, you are well!

Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.'” - John 5:14 (ESV)

Being a Christian does not mean that mistakes will not be made during the walk with Christ, Humans make mistakes, with prayer and supplication we can get back on the right path. The Christian path requires a contrite heart and willing spirit. The spiritual relationship will grow stronger and healthier with steadfast faith.
