250 Years of the Patriot Dream: A Nation Under God

"In God We Turst" is on Americn money and many federal buildngs.  The United States Pledge of Allegians includes "One nation under God" in it.  The is the official motto of the United States!  Why?  Because Christian faith and Biblie truth was the foundation for this country.  Regardless of what any liars may say, most Americans know this to be fact.  A few with bad intentions  refer to "Christian Natiionalists" like it is a negative term, in reality nationalist just stands for being a patriotic American and Christian means one who follows their faith in Christ as Savior.  Together the two words indicate Americans who believe God still blesses this nation

Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. 
For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.

DayWind has put together a new patriotic anthem released on Memorial Day weekend prior to the 250th birthday of the USA (in official video below) called "The Patriot Dream" (buy lyrics or soundtrack)  It includes a small adaptation of lyrics from "America, The Beautiful," but does not replace it or the United States national anthem "The Star-Spangles Banner."   This new song, just joins in the national celebration for a wonderful country that beliefs in freedom, liberty, and faith!  


Is Christianity the Key Foundation of America?

Is Christianity the foundation of America?  The undiluted history of the United States of America says YES!  Christian values and morels played a key role in the setting up of the government.
Does God bless or curse nations depending on whether or not their leaders follow God's will and commendaments? The last few decades in America show the Holy Bible is very much proved to be true in its warnings for faithful and rebellious people.  
Is Amercia making a turn back to Christian faith and values?  It looks very hopeful for USA, revival is spreading!  Presently America is doing well in global relations and economy.  Also, both the present and future look brighter for the nation's citizens.   

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, 
and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, 
for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.

During, America Reads the Bible kick-off for Rededicate 250/Freedom 250 celebrating USA 250th, President Donald Trump read 2 Chronicles 7:11-22 (in video at bottom of post).  This scripture is God instructing the current nation's leader that its citizens/people must return to following the one true God in order to flourish.

Modern Christian Matryr: Charlie Kirk


We learn of matryrs in history, both long ago and in recent decades too.  We remember matrys for causes and martyrs for Christ, even if we know not why they were destined to die.  Do we mourn the life and lessons of a new martyr now?  

The president of the United States honored Charles (Charlie) James Kirk with a Medal on Freedom ceremony on his birthday, which the Senate agreed to adding a national day of rembrance to the USA list in recognition of his Christian leadership and patriotic messaging.  His fellow Christians and conservatives honored him with a publicly televised memorial service carried on many networks after his life and mission were cut short on September 10th.  

My last words to you, Christian brothers, are that you pray for us. 
Pray that the Word of the Lord will go out over all the land
 and prove its power just as it did with you. 
Pray that we will be kept from sinful men, because not all men are Christians. 
But the Lord is faithful. He will give you strength and keep you safe from the devil. 
We have faith in the Lord for you. 
We believe you are doing and will keep on doing the things we told you. 
May the Lord lead your hearts into the love of God. 
May He help you as you wait for Christ.

How can we move on from such a horrible thing?  Martyrs strengthen causes and grow followerships that far outlast their own lifetimes, yet we still have to wonder why.  Was it God's plan?  Or did God actually turn the work of the devil upside-down and inside-out to gain a victory over evil?  Spiritual revival is burning across America and the world after what happened to Charlie Kirk.  We pray this movement  bringing people back to Christ, morality, and common sense continue to spread and the faith embers burn for many years!

Making a Straight Path for God in Your Life


Do you ever feel you are out-of-sync with God's plan for your life?  If so, it is time to remove any obstacles between you and God.  A direct path to God means reflecting on what God wants, turning away from personal desires that keep us stepping off that path, and realigning our life with His plan for our salvation.   


... Prepare a road for the Lord to travel on! Widen the pathway before Him! 
Level the mountains! Fill up the valleys! Straighten the curves! Smooth out the ruts! 
And then all mankind shall see the Savior sent from God. - Luke 3:4-6 (TLB)


Repentance is the first step towards getting on the right path.  Use dedicated time in prayer, devotionals,  and Bible study to break down the barriers that may exist between you and the relationship you desire with God.  Adjust your thoughts and align yourself with the teachings in God's Word.  Growth can be achieved through  using multiple references or studying with other like-minded people.  Personal transformation will occur with dedication to building a better spiritual connection with God. 

Security and Strength from God

 When feeling tension or fear, we must remember that our security and strength comes from God.  He will be our shelter and our shield to keep us safe and secure.  Only God can give us the hope and protection we need.

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved.
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
- Psalm 62:5-7 (KJV)

Let your faith in God give you hope now and in the future.  Do not show any fear or be anxious about anything. because He has got you in every circumstance that comes along.  Keep your faith in God and rely on Him to deliver you from any situation.

Following religion instead of God

 The Holy Bible warns about phony religions, fake prophets, and false gods popping up and leading Christians away from the truth.  Too often and in too many places, it has been considered politically or socially correct to allow these counterfeit religions (who offer only dead prophets, bogus idols, and false teachings from the devil/satan) to speak freely and loudly.  This comes from an evil place to try  to convert people to a religion founded on lies or hate.  Let it be clear that any religion that teaches sacrificing babies, raping women and children, burning property, or killing anyone who disagrees with their hateful message is not from God. God is love, but  we are also warned He is jealous and can become angry with nations when His people are deceived into pulling away from Him.  Only satan/devil and his demons/minions push hate, lawlessness, violence, evil, and phony religions.  Satan wishes to trap many people in Hell.  Whereas, God does not want people to go there.

But there were also false prophets among the people, 
just as there will be false teachers among you. 
They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, 
even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them
bringing swift destruction on themselves.
- 2 Peter 2:1 (NIV)

The truth is there is one loving God which is our Father in Heaven.  He gave His son Jesus Christ to die and absolve those that believe from sin.  God did this to provide a path to Heaven for any of mankind who whould believe and faithfully follow.  He also sent the Holy Spirit after Christ to lead and guide faithful believers to more closely know Him, feel His love for them, and show them His will.   Jesus emphasized God's love when He pointed out that God should be first in Christians' life per the Ten Commandments, then love and respect for other people and follow related laws was the way  to show they are part of that loveing God's plan.  Jesus, the prophets from the Bible, and the apostles warn Christians that false gods, fake prophets and phony religions will come to try to lead them away to following false gods.  Do not let that happen by staying faithful in prayer, reading the Bible, and attending a church that teaches the full gospel truth of the Bible.

It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. 
Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.

The Only Way to Heaven

This 3 minute video has reemerged recently on X and Facebook.  It has to be posted here because there is so much Biblical truth in it presented in an easy-to-understand way. So many people wrongly think they can get into Heaven based on occasional good works and perceived "righteousness", rather than by praying a simple salvation prayer of faith and then doing their best to live like Jesus.  

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.
From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Better Leadership for a Brighter Future


We have been living under a cloud of evil for so long, can we hope to see a better future with new leadership?  Can we joyfolly look forward to truth, liberty, and prosperity again?  When we pray, are we assured God is listening and will help us to move forward? The answers are YES, because our God wants to bless His people and give them a bright future.

When the righteous triumph, there is great elation; 
but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding. 
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, 
but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. - Proverbs 28:12-13 (NIV) 

Will the former corrupt leaders and their partners-in-crime confess their evil deeds, ask for God's forgiveness, and plead for mercy from the people they have lied to and cheated for so long?  Will the citizens continue to fight for truth and justice or will evil be allowed to hide or abide until they can force their wicked ways again?  The answer depends on how we pray, the important actions we and our trustworty leaders must take as we put faith in God to guide us back to His plan for us

Evildoers are snared by their own sin, 
but the righteous shout for joy and are glad. 
The righteous care about justice for the poor, 
but the wicked have no such concern. - Proverbs 29:6-7 (NIV)

When the Devil Comes to Steal Your Blessing and Testimony


Have you noticed that when things are going good, the devil comes along and tries to steal your blessing? Some may say it is just self-doubt, but I truly believe it is the devil just wispering lies into our minds.  He wants to steal your blessing, your joy, your courage, and your faith.  Do not let him get a way with it!  Claim the promise that God gave you and thow it back at the devil.  God promises he will flee when confronted.  

But He gives greater grace. Therefore it says, 
“God opposes the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.” 
So submit to God. 
But resist the devil and he will flee from you.
- James 4:6-7 (NET)

Last week, I was blessed with a healing.  This week several times when I was out on my daily walk, I might feel a weakness, tiredness, or small twitch in my shoulder.  Immediately the devil would try to tell me the pain was going to come back and I was not really healed.  So I shut him up quickly by saying "Yes, Jesus healed my shoulder completely.  I feel no pain.  I know He healed me and so do you. So shut up and move along, you are wrong.  I am healed and I know it."  Maybe it does not sound humble, but I would instantly feel better and the nudging to deny my healing would be gone.  We have to keep our faith by claiming the truth.  The devil does not like truth and he will run the other way to avoid it.  

Lift Your Arms - A Healing Testimony of Praise


I am a healthy person, especially good for my age.  Most of you readers do not know this, I have been dealing with right shoulder pain since mid-April.  I am one of those people who often thinks their aches and pains are stressed or pulled muscle and it will go away in a week or so with ice or a heating pad.  Well, this time it did not, instead the pain got worse and the area around my back shoulder blade was noticeably mree swollen than the other side.  After a few more days of ice instead of heat and ibuprofen making no difference in pain and very little with swelling, I called to get into the doctor.  His next open appointment was over two weeks away but they would let me switch that with my spouse, who was scheduled for the next day and he could come on the later date. This was a small blessing.  The doctor recommended more frequent ice sessions, a short regimen of theraphy, and larger doses of ibuprofen to see if it fixed the problem since I still had good range of motion.  I was praying and expecting a quick healing, instead the pain only seemed to get worse!  However the swelling did finally go down.

O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me. - Psalm 30:2 (ESV)

Since therapy did not work, I was sent for an MRI in May, which showed two muscles tears above the shoulder blade and inflammation in the shoulder joint.  I was referred to the Orthopedist that did my shoulder surgery several years before.  It would be almost two months before I could an appointment with the specialist! I made the appointment and asked to be put on a wait-list in case of a cancellation. By now, my spouse had to drive me everywhere because I could barely lift my arm.  I was wondering why God was not giving me a quick solution, which I was continually praying for.  A few days later, the Orthopedist receptionist called me to see if I was willing to go out-of-town for an appointment in mid-June. Another small blessing that we willingly took!  The Orthopdic surgeon said the old surgery still looked good so he gave me shots in the shoulder to relieve that, plus scheduled therapy to start the following week, and a perscription for a few pain pills.  The shots made me dizzy and nauseous.   So after being returned to in a seat in the waiting area and drinking half a can of soda, I was ok enough to walk to car with my son and spouse helping.  I took a nap after each therapy session once I finished an icing session because the pain pills made me sleepy.  Over the next few weeks, the pain got somewhat better and after about two months I could finally drive myself again.  I kept praying to be strong and healthy again.  Thank the Lord, I had the support I needed during this time [unlike poor Job with his friends and family].

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, 
for you are my praise. - Jeremiah 17:14 (ESV)

However, there was still occasional bad pain.  When I went for my yearly physical at the beginning of this month, my doctor asked about the shoulder.  I said it was better, although I still had pain off and on, as well as  limitations in what I could lift.  Since it was no longer excruciating and keeping me from doing most things, I said it was something I could just live with [like Paul's thorn in the flesh].  

And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.” - Luke 8:48 (ESV)

About seven months after all this started on Sunday (November 10, 2024) at church, we had a movement of God for healing and help with other needs.  While we were praying for people, I got an impression that I should lift my arm as high as I could.  So I relied on God, lifted my right arm to a typically comfortable level, and continued to pray in the spirit as God led me.  As I prayed I could sense my arm going higher.  By the time we finished praying and praising God, I had no pain!  Praise Jesus!  It may seem like a small thing to some, but to me it was a miracle!  I felt like the woman who touched the hem of Jesus garment.  I feel it is a testimony that although we may go through things and not understand why, with God all things are possible and everything that happens has a purpose.  We may not understand the why yet, but someday we will.

Repent Now, Stop One World Order, and Gain Freedom

When reading Psalm 2, I was struck by how much it is like today, not just in "olden times" of King David but in all times current and future.  Too often men think of themselves as not only above others but above God.  They say there is no God, so they can do as they want.  They believe they can rebuke God, be unjust toward their fellow mankind, and can steal from other citizens and nations.  They have no problem with entrapping those that will not fall in line with their plans.  Instead of denouncing their evil plans, asking for forgiveness, and turning to God again - they force their way by imprisoning those who point out their mistakes.

"Why do the nations rebel? Why are the countries devising plots that will fail? 
The kings of the earth form a united front; 
the rulers collaborate against the Lord and His anointed king." - Psalm 2:1-2 (NET)

The global world order is against God and his people.  Those leaders want to control everyone and everything!  They have declared war against Christianity.  Between the first and last verses, God laughs at them for their insolence.  God warns them to turn away from their evil lies and plans or be destroyed. They can not stand against God!  Those leaders are NOT to to be worshiped or followed.  Throughout the scritpures, we are promised that the only one that can give us what we need and prepare us for the joy of true freedom is God.  

"Serve the Lord in fear. Repent in terror. Give sincere homage. 
Otherwise He will be angry, and you will die because of your behavior, 
when His anger quickly ignites.
 How blessed are all who take shelter in Him!" - Psalm 2:11-12 (NET)

It is time for Christians to remind their leaders who God is and what God requires of them and us.  Our freedom and future depend on it. Not just for our current physical needs and the future of our children, but our eternal souls as well.  Otherwise ALL are doomed! Christians must stand up against this evil!  If not we will continue to lose our earthly rights and are helping to send many to hell as well.  That is not want God wants!  Christians, where are your voices?  Where are you arms and legs for God?  Put on God's  armor, pray for your warriors and your own warrior-spirit, and then soldiers get going towards victory!

The Strength of His People


Times are hard.  Unfair or horrible things may be happening all around.  Christians and non-beleviers both feel the pain of uncertainty for today and the future. Although the people of God may feel weak or disheartened, they can find strength and courage through their relationship with God.  God's people know if they ask for His help, He will answer to their benefit as long as they remain faithful and righteous. God will provide leadership to move His people  forward, so they may grow and flourish.

The Lord is the strength of His people; 
He is the saving refuge of His anointed. 
Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! 
Be their shepherd and carry them forever. - Psalm 28:8-9 (ESV) 

Christians will be lifted up from their pain and receive the promises of God; with prayer, supplication, and praise.  Knowing who God is and what He can do should be enough to move forward in faith.  God will save and lead His people.  Pray that God will continually direct leaders in the way that all should go - guide them with the consideration of the people along with God's will in every decision and action.  Recognize who God is for His people and be thankful for His blessings always.

Holy War - Fighting Sin In Modern Days

The "Modern Day Holy War" song by Lady Nogrady in the video below has such a powerful spiritual message.  Open your heard and spirit to listen to the words closely first, maybe with your eyes closed.  Then if you are brave and want to know more, consider  opening your eyes and mind to the images that are shown in the video when you listen again.  

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, 
but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) " - 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (KJV)

Some may say this is a political message, not a God one.  For that reason I struggled with whether or not to put it on a Christian faith blog with the mission of spreading God's word.  I prayed and was released to include it because there is so much truth (count your blessings, spiritual warfare, be in sin no more) in it for modern Christians.  While it is true that some of the images may be political, all the words are truly spiritual.  

"Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations,
and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;"
- Jeremiah 51:20 (KJV)

God does care about who our leaders are and the politics that are shoved down the throats of His people.  We do NOT need to keep politics out of the pulpit, instead we need to keep evil out of the Church.  Preachers need to research who they support and pray before they allow them to speak to their congregation.  Chrisitans need to pray before they vote and constantly to be aware that evil wants to take our physical and spiritual lives.  Protect your soul, heart, and mind - put on the armor of God and prepare for the fight that is no longer coming, because it is already here.


The Way to Victory

It seems there is no hope for the righteous as crime rises and evil seems to rule more and more.  People of faith are either ignored by those in power or persecuted by a small group that targets them as a way to gain power.  Where is the hope and comfort for Christians in the world today?  How are the faithful to remain brave in the face of so much pain caused by the world and its anger aimed at them?

"The Lord is a stronghold to him whose way is upright, 
but destruction to evildoers. 
The righteous will never be removed, 
but the wicked will not dwell in the land." 
- Proverbs 10:29-30 (RSV) 

Hope in the Lord is the same today and tomorrow, as it was in the past.  God never changes!  With that in mind and spirit , people of faith can move forward with courgae.  Continue to be faithful to God, family, and church.  Keep reading and memorizing the Holy Bible. Pray for God's intervention and justice.  Work at making things better.  Keep singing God's praisesSpeak out against evil.  Stand up for righteousness.  Put on the full armor of God.  Remember, God always wins!  In that, Christians can take comfort and also become very brave.

To the Unwise and the Wicked, Learn!

With all the contempt and anger in the world, the inexerinced can easily be led astray.  Many people (of faith and without it) wonder are these people really this stupid or is someone paying them to act this way?  Evil is always willing to do what is necesseary to lead people away from God and goodness; even to the point of pretending to be better, feigning a new liberal awareness, and disguiding their true nature.  The evil one(s) lies and will try to make things appear grey that are clearly black and white; evil paints wrong as right.  Can these unwise people headed for their own destruction be re-taught?  Can those willingly led astray by the wicked learn what is right?  Will they set aside their scorn and sinfulness to seek the truth?

"How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? 
and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, 
I will make known my words unto you." - Proverbs 1:22-23 (KJV+ MORE)

Those who really want to know the truth, merely need to turn to God for forgiveness and direction.  He will show them the wisdom of His ways through His word.  He will lead them  from wrong to learn the promises and truth that the evil one(s) have tried to keep hidden from them.  If they only listen to God, they will trun from evil and win themselves a new life on this earth and a wonderful one in eternity.  They will feel His love and understand what is good as well as how to do REAL good - not to fallow falshoods that lead to their pain and the pain of others.  They can learn and feel freedom, if they choose to be savedGod is the greatest educator.  God's people need to help provide that eduation through example, through open conversations, and in actions.

Are You a Weed or a Seed?

Are you wondering what the question "are you a weed or a seed"  means?  Ever wonder what it means when you hear the term "plant a seed" for Christ?  Or what the bible means when it talks about seeds and weeds?  

In Matthew 13:3-8  you will find the parable of the sower planting wheat seeds in the field.  Here the field represents the world and different kinds of people in it.  The seed is the word of God and the sower is Christ.  In Matthew 13:18-23, you find out that the seeds represent people who hear God's word. You can be a living symbol of a God's seed on earth.  As a follower of Christ you can bring forth a great harvest.  Or you can be a lukewarm Christian-in-name-only that easily withers in the hard times or never produces anything for the kingdom.  Being a good seed requires a foundation in faith, finding and sharing the light, and immersing oneself in the truth of God's word.  

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God." - Luke 8:11 (ESV)  

Going a little further into Matthew 13:24-30 you will also find  the parable of the wheat and weeds.  Here the sower is the farm owner of the wheat field and the enemy is the bad guy who plants weeds among the good seeds (also known as wheat, harvest, sheaf).  In Matthew 13:37-43 it is revealed who the weeds are and from where they came.  The enemy is the devil with his impure, evil, and fake plans for the future.  The weeds (also referred to as tares, thistles, or thorns) that come up are the followers of false religions who try to destroy the good seeds in order to keep them from growing and producing a harvest. The job of the weeds is to confuse the farmer and his helpers, all those who are caring for and harvesting the field .  The weeds' loud voices or constant whispers try to discourage and distract the followers of Christ.  Weeds hide the light from getting to the seed so it can grow.

"The sower sows the word. " - Mark 4:14 (ESV)

Do you want to be a good seed that spreads the gospel and produces much for the kingdom?  Or are you content falling by the wayside and letting the weeds take over?  If the weeds take control and block the light, does that mean you can no longer grow?  Are you shining your inner light or are you unknowingly blocking the light fro others? Do not let the weeds take over.  Reach for the SON and let the light shine!

  • Seeds in the Bible also represent having and growing faith, as an example look for mustard seed.

Twelve Minutes with God

Feeling alone or abandoned?  Wondering how you can possibly survive with all the evil around today?  Are you thinking nothing can be done to improve your situation? 

It is time to reprogram your brain and renew your spirit.  How? Consider spending at least twelve minutes each day with God in prayer.  Forget the persistent "God knows" excuses for not praying - how I feel, what I need, when things are bad, where i need to go, who can help, why we need Him.  He wants you to talk to Him!  So ask for what you need, give God praise, trust Him, listen for His voice, and feel God's love.

Forget the excuse of "I don't have time to pray" - everyone has time to do something they value.  Do you value God?  Jesus believed prayer was important, you should too!  A relationship with God means more than time spent sitting in church or reading a devotional and then meditating on it.  Prayer is real communication with God and it leads to real spiritual growth.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, 
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, 
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, 
whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, 
whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

Personally, I have been doing this for a few months and am amazed at how much it has improved my attitude about things and increased my faith.  I walk daily for exercise and I spend the first 12-15 minutes of my walk praying and praising God.  I try not to ask for anything, instead I  use the time to acknowledge who He is and what He means to me.  I feel reassured that my awesome God has got this, He will take care of everything, He holds me and those I care about safely in his strong but loving hands.  Nothing is impossible for my God!  Indeed no thing is too small for Him to care about or too big for Him to conquer!

The God Who Sees Me!

When you are really sad or feeling mistreated, do you wonder where God is?  Does He see what is happening to you?  Will He intervene? Does He not care abut this?

Have you ever heard God called El Roi?  It means the God who sees me.  GOD as in the ALL knowing, ALL seeing, ALL powerful one.  He sees ME!  ME in I, myself, and mine.  Which also means He sees YOU and Yours too.   

"You are the God who sees me, ... I have now seen the One who sees me."

We find "El Roi" name for God used by in the desert by a lonely Hagar, the handmaid of Sarah and Abraham.  Hagar is greatly mistreated and feels cheated roe than once in the book of Genesis.  Yet, she and her son are recognized by God and given comfort of their own promises rom Him.  

You may be going through a trial by God or through a horrible test of faith like the devil inflicted on Job.  You may be encounting wrong treatment by people around you or you may be reaping something you may have brought upon yourself through loss of faith.  

"Yet you know me, Lord; you see me and test my thoughts about you..."

The prophet Jeremiah understood how it felt to have people try to harm him verbally and physically.  Yet, he realized his God was with him and had a plan for his life.   He may have been discouraged and his attitude was not always good, but he knew his God.   However, his faith in his calling was stronger than his weaknesses.  Jeremiah put his trust in the Lord to keep him safe and help him to deliver the words God wanted him to share.

Rest assured, God sees and recognizes you too. He has a good plan for you too.  No matter what is going on in your life right now, remember He sees you and He wants the best for you.  It may take some time. but you will come out of whatever is going on in your life.  Look for your best attitude in every situation that tempts your faith. Will you come out closer to the God who sees?  Will you recognize His love and help when it comes?  Rise in His glory and stand on your faith.  

God Isn't Into Instant

Everyone is in such a hurry to go somewhere or get something immediately.  We live a fast-food life with drive-thrus and microwaves.  We can look up almost any topic on the internet and quickly find a viewpoint we can instantly agree or argue with.  We do not want to wait for anything, even if waiting may be the best option for us.  We want instant gratification and quick solutions!

"For the revelation pertains to an appointed time— it speaks truthfully about the end. Though it delays, wait for it, because it will surely come about— it will not be late!" 
- Habakkuk 2:3 (ISV)

With that attitude, it is no wonder we expect God to react to our every wish and whim.   We want healing now. We want peace now.  We want justice now.  We want prosperity now.  We want blessings now.  We want ... whatever NOW!  

"Don’t forget this fact, dear friends: With the Lord a single day is like a thousand years, 
and a thousand years are like a single day. The Lord is not slow about his promise, 
as some people understand slowness, but is being patient with you. 
He does not want anyone to perish, but everyone to find room for repentance."

God's timing is not the same as humans.  God knows what is best for us and when we are ready to receive it.  That is not to say, that He ignores us when we ask for things.  We should continue to pray/ask and if our desire is within His will and the time is right, we can expect to get what we need.  What we need may or may not be the same as what we ask.  We need to recognize when He answers prayers, whether the answer is "instant" or requires we have patience to wait for His perfect timing.  

Trust God When Afraid or Anxious

If you are feeling anxious about things going on around you, then reach out to God.  You may be cautious during critical times, yet you are worried that something may happen to you or your family.  You may be witnessing things that concern you, which you never perceived as possible in the past. Do not fret, instead cry out to God and tell Him your concerns.  Do not fear, but have faith and believe that the all-knowing God will help you.  In a time and a way that is in accordance with His will, God will come to your aid. 

"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. 
In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; 
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me." -  Psalm 56:3-4 (KJV)

What seems like insurmountable adversity to you, is nothing compared to the power and might of God.  As His child, there is nothing that mankind can do to you without God's permission.  He is your shelter, your fortress, your deliverer.  Keep your faith in God strong and remember to give Him the glory for all He does for you.  Praise God for His deliverance ,even before you see the results.  Keep thanking Him and reminding Him that you are trusting in His promises and for His best resolution to your concern or issue.
