250 Years of the Patriot Dream: A Nation Under God

"In God We Turst" is on Americn money and many federal buildngs.  The United States Pledge of Allegians includes "One nation under God" in it.  The is the official motto of the United States!  Why?  Because Christian faith and Biblie truth was the foundation for this country.  Regardless of what any liars may say, most Americans know this to be fact.  A few with bad intentions  refer to "Christian Natiionalists" like it is a negative term, in reality nationalist just stands for being a patriotic American and Christian means one who follows their faith in Christ as Savior.  Together the two words indicate Americans who believe God still blesses this nation

Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples.
For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
-
Psalm 117:1-2

DayWind has put together a new patriotic anthem released on Memorial Day weekend prior to the 250th birthday of the USA (in official video below) called "The Patriot Dream" (buy lyrics or soundtrack)  It includes a small adaptation of lyrics from "America, The Beautiful," but does not replace it or the United States national anthem "The Star-Spangles Banner."   This new song, just joins in the national celebration for a wonderful country that beliefs in freedom, liberty, and faith!

Counting on a Big God

The "BIG GOD" song below by Terrian says so much. We all need to remember this and call upon the one true God when we need to feel His love and mercy.  The world is still going through a spiritual battle with evil, yet one thing we can count on is that God always wins! Join in the righteous fight and be an important part of the army of God.

Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. - Psalm 147:5 (NIV)

Sing a Song of Victory!

Sing a song of victorious freedom through Christ!  Below is the song and lyrics of "My Name is Victory" by The Wilbanks.  It is another great marching song for Christians!  This song is personal "I", whereas “We are the People of God” song by Carmen is a group marching/dancing tune.  Both would be great blasting from floats in parades or wherever people marching together.  Let's take back the streets and parades for Jesus!  Can you see everyone singing it as a worship song in church or other public spaces with their arms raised in a "V" for victory  thanking Jesus? It makes me want to jump up and shout! This should be the anthem for every Christian church to thank God for our freedom and found liberty through Him   It could be July 4th fired-up with spiritual fireworks every Sunday!

The Only Way to Heaven

This 3 minute video has reemerged recently on X and Facebook.  It has to be posted here because there is so much Biblical truth in it presented in an easy-to-understand way. So many people wrongly think they can get into Heaven based on occasional good works and perceived "righteousness", rather than by praying a simple salvation prayer of faith and then doing their best to live like Jesus.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.
From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
- John 14:6-7 (NIV)

Christian Christmas Music Celebrates a Baby Boy Who Saves Us All

The "Mary Did You Know" song written and performed by Mark Lowry any nany others has become a popular anthem for nativity performances during many Christmas programs.  It has quickly challenged the popularity of Christmas carols like "Away in A Manger" and traditional hymns such as "O Come Let Us Adore Him," Give it a listen, it may seem slow and sad - but the real message is hope and joy  (similar to the now Easter favorite "Listen to the Hamer Ring").

And she will have a son, and you are to name h im Jesus,
for He will save His people from their sins. - Matthew 1:21 (NLT)

There Is a Hole in the Heart of America that Only God Can Heal

The first time I heard the song "There’s A Hole In The Heart," I could not tell it they were saying "heal" or "fill".  Either word seems to fit the message of the song.  In the video below, we find actual word used is "fill" since there is a lot of "empty" in that hole that only God can fill. Things, politics, money, or human relationships cannot fill it up, although being nicer to our fellow man might decrease the hole size a little bit.  The thruth is only God can fill it up with healing and close the wound this world is inflicting upon everyone. Keep praying for revival, God's will, and the survival of America.

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
- Jeremiah 29:12-13 (ESV)

Listen to the music video below and watch the scenes behind the lyrics.  The old-time gospel group The Nelons did a great job presenting the feelings of our nation and the world right now with this song.  Christians are being persecuting in a time when the message and comfort of Christ is really needed for humanity's emotional, physical, and spiritual healing.  USA need to learn to have faith and trust in God again!

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you. - Matthew 6:33 (ESV)

In God We Trust, Yes He is Alive!

There is a new movie coming out in the God's Not Dead series.   This is not just another Christian film series! Like the proceeding movies, this one will look at how current "political correctness" and government powers are slowly taking away the freedoms that exist in America.  Their target is not just killing religious freedom of Christians, but the First Amendment partner rights of free speech and to assemble with like-minded people.  Currently, the Christian churches (Catholic and Protestant) are the target for persecution, prosecution, and elimination.  Other religions will follow as unknowingly demon-influenced people continue to try to erase God from the world that He created.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
- Proverbs 3:5-6 (ISV)

Since the movie is not yet out, I cannot provide any specific details other than to say it is time make  Americaa a nation under God again.  However, I can share the new theme song by the Newsboys for this 5th movie subtitled "In God We Trust."  Before the government  denies the truth of God and decides to rewrite/reprint our history, we need to return to the national motto on American currency: In God We Trust! Pray for revival! USA needs it now!

Holy War - Fighting Sin In Modern Days

The "Modern Day Holy War" song by Lady Nogrady in the video below has such a powerful spiritual message.  Open your heard and spirit to listen to the words closely first, maybe with your eyes closed.  Then if you are brave and want to know more, consider  opening your eyes and mind to the images that are shown in the video when you listen again.

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,
but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) " - 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (KJV)

Some may say this is a political message, not a God one.  For that reason I struggled with whether or not to put it on a Christian faith blog with the mission of spreading God's word.  I prayed and was released to include it because there is so much truth (count your blessings, spiritual warfare, be in sin no more) in it for modern Christians.  While it is true that some of the images may be political, all the words are truly spiritual.

"Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations,
and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;"
- Jeremiah 51:20 (KJV)

God does care about who our leaders are and the politics that are shoved down the throats of His people.  We do NOT need to keep politics out of the pulpit, instead we need to keep evil out of the Church.  Preachers need to research who they support and pray before they allow them to speak to their congregation.  Chrisitans need to pray before they vote and constantly to be aware that evil wants to take our physical and spiritual lives.  Protect your soul, heart, and mind - put on the armor of God and prepare for the fight that is no longer coming, because it is already here.

Do Not Stop Praying

In the video below are 4+ minutes of lyrics of "Don't Stop Praying" sung by Matthew West.  In another blog post, continuously praying for change was discussed as necessary for breakthorugh.  This song is on that theme too, only it is more about praying for self and others instead of standing in the gap to fight against evil.

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV)

As the song says, keep praying becasue God does hear your prayers.  If your requests are asked in His will, he will answer in His time.  Just be aware that the answer God has for you could be: Yes, No, or Not Now.  Also listen closely to how He responds, as He might be leading you to take action too.

Miracle Power of Our Wonderful God

Below are 4+ minutes of lyrics of "Miracle Power" song by the Christian group We The Kingdom in a sing-along video.  This song reflects on what a wonderful God we have and how much He loves us.   In these uncertain times, knowing God is there for us can reduce  any fears and anxiety we may face.

"Thou art the God that doest wonders:
thou hast declared thy strength among the people."
 - Psalm 77:14 (KJV)

I think it would be a great song for us to listen to anytime we are feeling lost or lonely.  It is an uplifting  and hopeful song with a moderate beat.  The words reminds us that we serve a mircale-working God that will provide what we need.

Counting My Blessings - Song of Thanksgiving

The "Counting My Blessings" song below by Christian singer Seph Schlueter is a good way to remind ourselves that God is wonderful and all blessings come from Him.  He loves us and gives us more blessings  than we can count.  He blesses us even when we do not realize it.  He gives us more than we know.

"You will be blessed when you come in
and blessed when you go out."
- Deuteronomy 28:6 (NIV)

I think it would be a great song for us to listen to during Thanksgiving gathering or anytime we need to remind ourselves who God is and what He gives to us. Besides listening to "blessings" and "thanks" music (like "Thank You Lord" too) , we need to remember to say a prayer of grace before our meal.  If a personal or group activity is desired to help focus on blessings,  consider doing an activity to create a blessing tree.

Where Is Your Promised Land?

In the music video "Promised Land" by Toby Mac, you see a man experiencing a hard life on this earth yet he understands that this world is not all there is for him.  This world seems to be falling apart before our eyes.  Evil is everywhere taking away freedoms and human rights.  It is important to remember this earth is not our true home,  There is a better place promised to those that follow Jesus.

Do you know where it is?  Are you looking forward to that promised land?

Jesus answered, “My kingdom doesn't belong to this world. If it did,
my followers would have fought to keep me from being handed over to our leaders.
No, my kingdom doesn't belong to this world. - John 18:36 (CEV)

Do you have your reservation set? Are you headed down the right path to get there?

"There are many rooms in my Father's house;
I wouldn't tell you this, unless it was true.
I am going there to prepare a place for each of you." - John 14:2 (CEV)

Song for the Hurting to Find Joy in Christ - A New Christmas Song

Many Christians,  and non-believers too, struggle to be happy over the holidays.  They may feel unworthy to celebrate or even know Christ as their savior.  With the physical loneliness, emotional strain, and spiritual separation that COVID shutdowns caused in fellowship and church attendance: many still find it hard to raise their voices in traditional joyous carols like "O Come Let Us Adore Him."  Thus the story of a new song written in 2020 "O Come, All You Unfaithful" to bring comfort and spiritual healing to those in despair and experiencing feelings of hopelessness.  The newer song emphasizes that Jesus was born for the salivation of all - He died on the cross for all sinners.  Remember, that Christ still lives. loves, and forgives today!

And He <Jesus Christ> is the propitiation for our sins:
and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. - 1 John 2:2

The lyrics for the song are in the music video below.  The song is from Heaven Has Come Christmas CD via Sovereign Grace Music.  The story link above contains the official video plus links to other resources for worship leaders, Christian musicians and singers.

But you would be fed with the finest of wheat;
with honey from the rock I would satisfy you. - Psalm 81:16 (NIV)

If you like banjos, then you may want to check out an older blue grass song based on the scripture by various artists on YouTube or on Amazon.

And did all drink the same spiritual drink:
for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them:
and that Rock was Christ. - 1 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)

Pledge Allegiance to Christ

As the world grows further away from God, Christians must remain faithful and vigilant.  The video below is both an anthem for the Church and a warning of what may come to believers.  Unfortunately history can and does repeat itself, if mankind forgets the freedoms and liberties assigned through Christ.  Never forget.

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.  - Romans 14:11 (KJV)

The song presented in story and lyrics video is "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb" by Ray Boltz.  Video that is only words without story line, is available on YouTube.  CDs and music sound tracks are available on Amazon.

The Herald Angels Sing Glory to the King

The lyric and music video below is the most popular YouTube version of the much loved Christmas hymn "Hark, the Angles Sing" sung by a choir.  It even outranked the Mormon Tabernacle Choir version in views.  This might be due to background of the word slides look very Christmas-y and the music is also  traditional in sound.  It seems like an excellent choice for use in church and school Christmas carol sing-a-longs. whether it is part of a holiday service or performance.  It may also be useful in family gatherings or karake parties.  If you want to use it, be aware that advertisements pop-up before the last 30 seconds of music has ended.  If you want to a more angelic sounding choir sound with lyrics, check out the church congregation version on YouTube.

"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men."
- Luke 2:13-14 (KJV)

One Day There Will Be Healing

Churches are once again open for services, yet a few Christians have not returned to their congregation.  Some are still afraid for their health or that the evil ones will continue to cause trouble between people of faith and those with little hope in their lives.  Let us remember that no matter what is going on in the world around us, God is still in charge!  He helps us walk through today and promises us a better tomorrow!  So get back to worship, fellowship, and Gods unfailing presence in whatever way is possible (in person or live-stream).  Find encouragement with the Cochren and Company song in video below?

"So then, do not judge anything before the time. Wait until the Lord comes.
He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the motives of hearts.
Then each will receive recognition from God.." - 1 Corinthians 4:5 (NET)

Continue to pray for healing in our nation and the rest of the world  Pray for our government leaders that they may make the right decisions.  Pray for our business leaders that they make the right decisions for their companies and employees.  Pray for our church leaders that they can get back to being the type of pastors  and shepherds they were called to be.  Thank you again for your support of this blog and your church.

Which Direction to Go? Heaven or Hell?

Ever hear anyone say "Everyone wants to go to heaven but NO one wants to die" or same sentence with the last word replaced with "go to hell?" Unfortunately people do not get the choice of not dying, they only get to choose where they end up.  What are the options after physical death?  The places to go for eternity are heaven or hell.  The choice is life in heaven or torment in hell.

It does not matter if you believe in joys of heaven, but not the reality of hell, the Bible speaks of both.  While He walked on earth, Jesus actually talked more about hell than he did of heaven.  Why?  Christ does not want anyone to go to hell so He warned about the devil's evil plans, and the finality of hell.  Jesus Christ was the ultimate sacrifice made to save mankind from hell.

"And an highway shall be there, and a way,
and it shall be called The way of holiness;
the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those:
the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein."- Isaiah 35:8

Learn more about the Bible scriptures that talk about heaven and hell by studying the 3 video series "Life, Death, Heaven, Hell - Any Questions."  Links to video lessons and noted scripture references  are provided below.  Although there are more scriptures on these topics, those below are a good selection.

  • Video 1 - Ecclesiastes 3:11, Deuteronomy 30:19
  • Video 2 - Psalm 23:4, Deuteronomy 29:29 & 30:19, 116:15, 1 Corinthians 15:25-26, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4, Philippians 1:21-33, John 11:35, Luke 16:19-25
  • Video 3 - 2 Corinthians 5:7-8, Psalm 116:15, 2 Peter 3:1 & 8-9, Philippians 3:13, Hebrews 12:1, Ephesians 1: 16-20 & 3:14-19. Luke 10: 2 & 17:6, Matthew 13:29-30

Let Me Tell You About My Jesus

Love this new song "My Jesus" by Anne Wilson.  It talks of bad/sad times and how knowing Jesus Christ can move you forward into being better.  Listen to the song on YouTube video below and if you are interested in her story behind the song, watch the other video below the music video.

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:
for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ may rest upon me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

Anne's lyric video is available on YouTube also.  Anne Wilson's music CD may be purchased or MP3 downloaded from multiple sources through her website.
