"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another,
as God in Christ forgave you."
- Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)
According to Jesus Christ, the most important command is is to love God as covered in first 4 of 10 commandments. The second greatest command is related to loving and respecting others. If you love and respect others, you automatically follow commandments 5-10.
"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no other commandment greater than these.” - Mark 12:30-31 (ESV)
If you love others, you should have no issues with following the final six commandments of the ten. These last six commandments deal with respecting people and their property.
- Honor thy (Your) father and thy (Your) mother.
- Thou (You) shalt (Shall/Will/Can) not murder.
- Thou (You) shalt (Shall/Will/Can) not commit adultery.
- Thou (You) shalt (Shall/Will/Can) not steal
- Thou (You) shalt (Shall/Will/Can) not bear false witness against thy neighbour
- Thou (You) shalt (Shall/Will/Can) not covet (Want/Desire/Take) ... any thing that is thy neighbour's.
"If anyone says,'I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar;
for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen.
And this commandment we have from him
whoever loves God must also love his brother." - 1 John 4:20-21
