The Five P's of Church Attendance

attendance and participation
Many people claim to be Christians but do not feel attending church is necessary to grow in the Lord.  That type of reasoning is NOT scriptural!  The Bible tell us that we must meet together for fellowship, learning God's word, and worship.  Church is more than a building, it is the House of he Lord.  Below are a few scriptures that support what I am calling the 5 P's of church attendance: presence, preaching, participation,  praise, and prayer.

5 P's of Church Attendance:

Presence definition = "the state or fact of existing, occurring, or being present in a place or thing."
"How is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm,
hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation.
Let all things be done unto edifying." - 1 Corinthians 14:26 (KJV)

Preaching definition = "publicly proclaim or teach a religious message or belief."
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."  - 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

Participation definition = "the action of taking part in something."
"But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God,
and keep it." - Luke 11:28 (KJV)

Praise definition = "express one's respect and gratitude toward a [GOD] deity."
"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ" - Ephesians 5:19-20 (KJV)

Prayer definition = "the act or practice of praying to God."
"Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing
that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name,
there am I in the midst of them." - Matthew 18:19-20 (KJV)

Are you a Christian?  Are you in church on Sunday and doing all of the 5 P's of church attendance?  If yes, God bless you!  If no, why not?
